Software Engineer - Frontend

Join a dynamic team of skilled software engineers working across the full stack, tackling innovative and critical problems. You will be developing products ranging from energy weapons to AI-powered sensors and drone swarm defense. This role offers you the chance to take ownership and collaborate closely with a talented team, from planning through implementation. You will create user interfaces for cutting-edge systems, ensuring reliability and real-time optimization, while solving novel and critical problems.

• Provide insights into architectural decision-making, including framework trade-offs, state-management solutions, and API and business layer patterns.
• Collaborate effectively with UX/UI designers to ensure seamless translation of design concepts into functional interfaces.
• Work with backend teams to improve API designs.
• Integrate novel front-end technologies into our stack.
• Take ownership of significant new features, including planning with technical requirements, design wireframes, and software design diagrams.
• Optimize performance, developer experience, CI/CD, and testing.
• Promote readability and clean coding patterns within the codebase.
• Mentor and collaborate with team members.

• 5+ years of professional front-end/UI development experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Mastery in building UI applications with React.
• Competence in front-end build tools, bundling, and transpilation.
• Experience with testing frameworks for unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Proficiency in CSS, SASS, and experience with Bootstrap, Tailwind, and Material-UI.
• Experience optimizing performance for real-time React applications.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development.
• Experience working with a design/development pipeline.
• At least 1+ years of experience with web-based 3D rendering, data visualization, or mapping libraries.

• Experience with wireframing/design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

This is a Contract position based out of Torrance, CA.

The pay range for this position is $63.00 - $90.00/hr.
