Job Description
The Entry-Level Quality Inspector supports a fast-paced manufacturing environment by performing visual and dimensional inspections, documenting results, and collaborating closely with the production team. This role offers hands-on training in quality control practices and the opportunity to develop an aerospace-related skill set while ensuring products meet defined standards and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform visual inspections of parts and assemblies to verify they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Use basic measuring tools, such as calipers, to perform dimensional inspections and confirm product conformance.
- Read and interpret blueprints and travelers to understand product requirements and inspection criteria.
- Document inspection results clearly and accurately, ensuring proper spelling, legibility, and completeness.
- Support the production team by communicating inspection findings and collaborating to resolve quality issues.
- Follow established quality control procedures and work instructions throughout the inspection process.
- Handle parts and components safely using appropriate hand tools and optical inspection equipment as needed.
- Maintain organized records of inspections and ensure documentation is filed or stored according to company standards.
- Contribute to a fast-paced manufacturing workflow by prioritizing tasks and meeting inspection deadlines.
- Identify obvious defects or nonconformances and escalate issues to the appropriate team members for review.
- Experience or strong interest in quality control within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to perform visual inspection of parts and components with attention to detail.
- Basic proficiency using measuring tools such as calipers for dimensional inspection.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and travelers to understand product and inspection requirements.
- Comfort with spelling, documentation, and completing inspection records accurately.
- Capability to communicate clearly with the production team about inspection results and quality concerns.
- General production or manufacturing experience, or equivalent hands-on mechanical experience.
- Ability to use hand tools and basic inspection equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong common sense, reliability, and willingness to learn and follow quality control procedures.
- Previous experience in a quality inspection or quality control role in manufacturing is beneficial but not required.
- Exposure to optical inspection methods or equipment is a plus.
- Interest in developing an aerospace-related skill set and growing within a technical environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork mindset with the ability to collaborate closely with production and other departments.
- Self-motivated attitude with a desire for continuous learning and professional growth.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Torrance, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
