Description
Stress Engineer contractor roles are to support the immediate MRB surge and repair analyses needed to clear discrepant parts and maintain build schedule. 1 role will be Stress Engineer for Interiors. Interiors Stress Engineer solving the most difficult engineering challenges pertaining to the design and analysis of the Interiors components and assemblies of the vehicle. This is inclusive of seats, floors, shrouds, compartments, and more – the components and assemblies that are part of the interactive spaceflight participant experience within the vehicle cabin. Duties: • Performs structural analysis to provide analytical definition and/or ensure structural integrity of components, assemblies, and systems • Reviews, updates, and creates engineering analytical definition of said components and assemblies (analysis documentation) • Develops and/or utilizes finite element models (global and discrete) • Plays an integral role in the workflow release process for structural design • Supports review of manufacturing plans and procedures to ensure compliance with design and load requirements • Support production and operations teams to ensure vehicle readiness for flight. This includes involvement in fabrication, implementation, and MRB activities.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $90.00/hr.
