Software Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a versatile and motivated Software Engineer to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of platforms, including embedded systems, Windows desktop applications, and mobile applications for iOS and Android. While you do not need to have experience in all of these areas, we value curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to learn and contribute where needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop Windows desktop applications using C#.
• Develop mobile applications for iOS and Android using relevant programming languages and .NET MAUI as we migrate.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including electrical, mechanical, and quality engineers to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and documentation to meet product requirements and regulatory standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and tools.
• Support verification, validation, and regulatory documentation activities as required.

Essential Skills

• Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, debugging, and version control.
• Strong proficiency in at least one relevant programming language such as C, C#, Swift, Java, or Kotlin.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and contribute across different product lines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in embedded systems development, especially with STM or Nordic microcontrollers.
• Experience with cross-platform development tools such as .NET MAUI.
• Previous work in a regulated industry such as medical devices, aerospace, or automotive.
• Familiarity with IEC, FDA premarket cybersecurity guidance, or other relevant software lifecycle and cybersecurity standards.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a traditional office setting with the option to work from home on Wednesdays and Fridays. The role offers a small company feel with financial backing and an established product line.
