Provides clinical support under the direction/supervision of a registered nurse. Practices within the legal boundaries for licensed vocational nursing (LVN) and accepts responsibility of individual nursing actions, competence, decisions, and behavior in the course of vocational nursing practice.  In conjunction with the Hospital Manager/Supervisor on duty to ensure adequate direct patient care staffing for inpatient areas of centralized and decentralized units.  In conjunction with the Hospital Manager/Supervisor and Case Management ensures timely bed placement for patients.

Required Experience

Required:

  • Maintain an active California LVN license.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Card

Preferred

  • Minimum of 2-years acute hospital nursing in a medical/surgical setting preferred.
