The Advisory Engineer, Solutions IJ serves as the technical lead for both pre-sales and post-sales implementation of Ricoh's integrated solutions portfolio, with a focus on inkjet, continuous feed, and color management technologies. Key Responsibilities:
The Advisory Engineer, Solutions IJ serves as the technical lead for both pre-sales and post-sales implementation of Ricoh's integrated solutions portfolio, with a focus on inkjet, continuous feed, and color management technologies. This expert-level role requires deep knowledge of hardware, software, and services, and plays a key part in architecting secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions that align with customer workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Sales (50-70%): Provide technical leadership, support sales teams, perform solution demonstrations, and ensure readiness for installations.
- Post-Sales (30-50%): Lead solution implementations, manage professional services delivery, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ongoing Development: Stay current with technical training, become a subject matter expert in CFIJ hardware and workflows, and support continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years in printing, pre/post-sales services, and solution implementation.
- Strong customer-facing, project management, and technical consulting skills.
- Expertise in inkjet continuous feed, workflow solutions, and print environments.
- Must complete CMP Certification and Ricoh Project Management training within the first year.
- Deep understanding of print languages (AFP, Metacode, Postscript, PDF, etc.).
- Experience in commercial/transactional print and data center environments.
- Strong networking knowledge (WAN/LAN, TCP/IP), Windows/Mac OS, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel and work in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments.
