Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineering Manager to oversee and enhance the quality processes within a manufacturing environment. This role involves managing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to ensure the highest quality standards are met. The position offers the opportunity to work in a challenging and fun environment, contributing to the growth of engineers and driving organizational success.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and oversee root cause analysis to identify quality issues.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans to address identified issues.
- Manage and lead a team of engineers to achieve quality objectives.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to influence decisions and improve processes.
- Facilitate the closure of corrective actions across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Support sites in moving forward with guidance and necessary skill sets.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or related technical field.
- 3-5+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to influence decisions across organizational levels.
- Proven track record of building collaborative relationships with engineering teams.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in semiconductor backend assembly operations.
- Formal AIAG Core Tools training or certification.
- Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) and advanced statistical methods.
- ISO 9001/IATF Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification.
- Experience in change management or organizational development in technical environments.
- Familiarity with automotive, aerospace, or medical device quality standards.
Work Environment
This position is based in Colorado and offers a hybrid work model for candidates located in Denver, with 1 to 2 days a week onsite. The team comprises 2-3 managers and a total of 14 people. The role is 100% management-focused with minimal production duties. This is a contract position with the potential to become permanent, contingent upon the candidate's auditing experience. The work environment is dynamic and supportive, fostering the development of engineers.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Colorado Springs, CO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $65.00/hr.
