Cable Technician / Data Center Tech - NIGHT SHIFT

TEKsystems has a need for a Cable Tech / Data Center Technician to work a NIGHT SHIFT capacity. This would be a contract to start with potential of converting fulltime.

HOURS: 9:30 PM to 5:30 AM Sunday through Thursday (5 nights)

MUST HAVE basic data center skills such as cabling/rack/stack/layer 1 troubleshooting.

• Must be detail oriented and able to work alone. 

JOB DUTIES:

• Navigate a data center (row/aisle/rack/equipment)
• Identify ports/equipment
• Use labeling printers
• Detail oriented
• Install patch cords based on spreadsheets (to/from)
• Run/install cabling with best data center standards (need/maintain bend radius/etc)
• Use of test equipment when required a plus (Fluke)
• Must be able to work individually as well as report directly to customer management
