Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer


Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Principal Electrical Engineer to architect and lead electronics hardware projects for battery applications. This role involves drafting schematics and utilizing PCB CAD layout software, interfacing with embedded systems composed of both hardware and software, and outlining, defining, and performing engineering tests. You will also work with standard electrical engineering tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and waveform generators, while writing and maintaining documentation using Atlassian-based tools and Git version control systems. Mentoring team members to enhance their design skills and improve their skillsets is also a key aspect of this role.


Responsibilities

  • Architect and lead electronics hardware for battery applications.
  • Draft schematics and utilize PCB CAD layout software.
  • Interface with embedded systems that integrate hardware and software.
  • Outline, define, and perform engineering tests.
  • Work with standard electrical engineering tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and waveform generators.
  • Write and maintain documentation using Atlassian-based tools and Git version control systems.
  • Mentor team members to enhance their design skills and improve their skillsets.

Essential Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in designing electronic hardware.
  • Experience with ground-up PCBA design, from specification to assembled product.
  • Proficiency in system architecture, circuit design, and simulation.
  • Experience in power electronics or switch mode power supply design.
  • Understanding of embedded systems design and related concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Familiarity with testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Clear communication and collaboration skills with team members.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.
  • Battery power experience.
  • Proficiency with any CAD package.
