CNC Machinist – Aerospace Components

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines for precision machining operations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Inspect in-process and finished parts using precision measuring instruments.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
• Follow QMS processes and procedures, including work instructions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

5-Axis Responsibilities

• Set up and operate advanced 4- and 5-axis CNC mills.
• Manufacture tight-tolerance, complex components from aerospace-grade alloys.
• Interpret and execute part programs, blueprints, and 3D CAD/CAM output with GD&T.
• Perform tool selection, in-process inspections, and adaptive machining adjustments.
• Work closely with engineering and quality teams to meet AS9100 standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, Lathe Machinist, or 5-Axis Machinist.
• Strong knowledge of machining techniques and tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Aerospace industry experience is a PLUS.
• Experience with Kitamura, Mazak, Grob machines is a PLUS.
• Familiarity with Mazak Integrex and Quikturns (CNC Lathe) is a PLUS.
• 5-Axis experience is a PLUS.

This is a Contract position based out of Wheat Ridge, CO.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
