Job Description

We are seeking an entry-level Lab Technician to join our team on the 2nd shift. The Lab Technician will prepare samples with accuracy and precision in accordance with analytical SOPs. This role involves working independently and as part of a team to meet daily production targets and ensure hold times and turnaround times are met. The Lab Technician is expected to always follow safe laboratory practices and maintain a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare samples for analysis following analytical SOPs using basic instrumentation specific to the department and analytical methodologies.
• Perform routine operation, maintenance, and calibration of preparation instruments and equipment.
• Assist with validation and MDL studies as required.
• Input and maintain technical information to support laboratory functions and operations.
• Maintain a Laboratory Notebook where applicable.
• Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
• Handle samples intake, weighing of soil samples, digestions, and monitoring of instrumentation during the 2nd shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma (Required)
• Associates Degree in Chemistry or a similar scientific discipline (Preferred)
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories (Preferred)
• English language proficiency (Required)

Work Environment

This position is in a high-volume, production-based environmental laboratory that serves various clients, making the work project-oriented and deadline-driven. The role is for the 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, from 3 PM to 12 AM, with a 1-hour lunch break. Training will be conducted during the assigned shift. There is an opportunity to work uncapped overtime with supervisor approval. The busiest times are at the end of the month.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wheat Ridge, CO.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Wheat Ridge,CO.
