Join a leading supplier of metals to the aerospace industry as an experienced Chop Saw Operator. This role involves loading metals into machines, setting up the correct fixtures, and using cutting units to ensure precise lengths. You'll inspect the cut metals with measuring tools and use handheld deburring equipment to finish the edges.
Responsibilities- Load metals into machines and set up the correct fixtures.
- Operate chop saws and cutting units to cut metals to precise lengths.
- Use measuring tools to inspect and ensure accuracy of cuts.
- Smooth out burrs on metal ends using handheld deburring equipment.
- Assist in shipping and receiving and operate CNC band saws.
- Utilize a crane to move large alloys and cut them to length.
- Engage in a fast-paced work environment, taking initiative and asking for help when needed.
- Proficiency in using measurement tools and reading a tape measure.
- Strong skills in basic math and computer operations.
- Experience as a chop saw and machine operator in a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and saw operation.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry, particularly with raw materials.
- Ability to operate grinders and perform grinding tasks.

Work EnvironmentWork in a new, organized shop environment that can be loud with multiple machines operating. The first shift runs from 7 AM to 3:30 PM.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windsor, CT.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
