Job Title: Shift Supervisor/Operator
Job Description
We are seeking multiple skilled Operators with a background in manufacturing or trades. Your experience with measuring tools and decimals will make you an ideal candidate for this position. This role involves hands-on learning of all floor operations and processes.
Responsibilities
- Learn and master all floor operations and processes.
- Provide backfill support when necessary or required.
- Interview, hire, and train new talent as needed.
- Determine pay rate settings and implement increases as necessary.
- Collaborate with Operations on work order prioritization.
- Record labor hours in company software accurately.
- Review and approve time-off requests to ensure no conflict with production.
- Demonstrate good housekeeping skills and manage line clearance.
- Oversee the KANBAN system to ensure adherence to procedures.
- Utilize QAD to create scrap and efficiency reports for management review.
- Process ECO as needed to adjust operational run times and setups.
- Determine and apply effective work techniques.
- Enforce safety guidelines and company attendance policies.
- Lead by example in the discipline process and use objective evidence for disciplinary actions.
- Resolve conflicts effectively.
- Be willing to work overtime as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Essential Skills
- Experience in machine operation, assembly, and blueprint reading.
- Ability to perform general labor and production tasks.
- Proficiency in inspection and use of microscopes.
- Skill in maintenance, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Capability in medical assembly and cleanroom environments.
- Familiarity with medical devices and hand tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
- Understanding of decimals and precision measurement.

You will work amidst a lot of equipment and machinery, ensuring a safe, clean, and temperature-controlled environment. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bethel, CT.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.00 - $43.00/hr.
