Hiring for a Supply Chain Manager in Deep River!
Overview:
We are seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations. This role is critical in ensuring operational efficiency, cost control, and compliance with regulatory and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in supply chain management, vendor negotiations, and regulatory affairs, with a focus on continuous improvement and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of supply chain operations, including imports, exports, logistics, and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and safety standards.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to optimize cost and quality.
- Implement inventory planning strategies to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives across the supply chain.
- Utilize ERP/MRP systems for accurate planning, reporting, and execution.
- Monitor and mitigate supply chain risks and disruptions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably in chemical manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of import/export regulations and customs compliance.
- Expertise in inventory planning, vendor negotiation, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement certification.
- Experience with sustainability initiatives and supplier audits.
- Familiarity with Responsible Business Alliance standards.
- Advanced data analytics and Excel skills.
Additional Competencies
- Customer service orientation and strong communication skills.
- Ability to manage risk and ensure business continuity.
- Negotiation and contract management expertise.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Deep River, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $53.00/hr.
