Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

Perform complex setups, edits, and operate established and NPI jobs with minimal supervision. Ensure parts conform to specifications and requirements. Make modifications or adjustments as necessary. Verify dimensions using standard measuring instruments, such as micrometers, depth gauges, height gauges, and verniers. Read and interpret blueprints and operations sheets. Collaborate with the engineering department regarding material conditions, best positioning of parts, tool pressure, etc., as required. Detect faulty operations and materials and report these along with other problems to the immediate supervisor.

RequiredSkills

  • 3-5 years of machining experience in an aerospace environment.
  • Three or more years of experience setting up and operating CNC Devlieg Milling Machines.
  • Familiarity with Fanuc controls.
  • Strong mathematical skills and knowledge of GD&T.
  • Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC).

Responsibilities

  • Willingness to cross-train on various operations/equipment.
  • Willingness to learn basic CNC Programming.

Work Environment

1st and 2nd shift available. 1st shift is Monday - Friday from 7:00am - 3:30pm, and 2nd shift is Monday - Friday from 3:00pm - 11:30pm. Work in a dynamic environment utilizing advanced technologies and equipment. Engage in collaborative projects with the engineering department, ensuring the highest standards of quality and precision

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Granby, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
