Job Title: Engineering Technician - East Hartford, CT


Job Description

Support Engineers in HSE durability analytics to maintain the integrity of parts in the hottest part of the engine. The role encompasses technician work, project management, and engineering duties.


Responsibilities

  • Become a technical expert on inspection practices, including photography with handheld devices, digital annotation using web-based tools, magnetoscope inspection, and airflow bench operation.
  • Follow proper standard work, selecting appropriate tools and ensuring proper bench setup and documentation.
  • Work on special projects outside the usual scope.
  • Order supplies for team members.
  • Provide oversight of the O/S team, offering technical expertise and ensuring quality standards.
  • Foster communication between HSE, MPE, CPR, and outsource vendors.
  • Update and maintain standard work for inspection practices and drive continuous improvement.
  • Troubleshoot issues with inspection bench equipment.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Troubleshooting skills in mechanical assembly and inspection of parts.
  • Associate Degree from a Technical College.
  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP is a plus.
  • Soft skills in project management are highly valued.

This full-time, onsite position is located at the East Hartford campus. The group is dynamic, with constantly changing priorities.
