Job Description
We are seeking a diligent Picker and Packer to accurately select, inspect, and pack customer orders for shipment. The role involves ensuring products are damage-free, securely packed, and inventory records are updated.
Responsibilities
- Accurately select, inspect, and pack customer orders for shipment.
- Locate products, ensure items are damage-free, and pack them securely.
- Update inventory records using RF scanners.
- Work off pick lists to retrieve products from storage locations.
- Pack items for shipping, on pallets, containers, and wrap them securely.
- Inspect products for damages, defects, or incorrect items before packing.
- Seal, label, and weigh packages accurately.
- Log completed orders to keep inventory data updated and report shortages or discrepancies.
- Manage storage and tracking of parts within the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments, operate machinery like forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Prepare materials for production or shipping.
- Transport and stack materials in appropriate storage or production areas.
- Organize warehouse space, scan/label materials, and accurately record data in inventory systems.
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage, verify against purchase orders, and pack/stage outgoing products.
- Lift up to 50 lbs daily.

- 6+ months of experience in forklift operation and warehouse work

Work Environment
The work environment is a clean, bright, and well-lit shop. The schedule includes multiple shifts: 1st shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, 2nd shift from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, and a Sunday 3rd shift from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am. Occasional voluntary overtime is available on Saturdays.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Farmington, CT.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.90/hr.
