HVAC / Plumbing Project Manager

We are looking for a skilled HVAC Project Manager to join our team, focusing on plumbing, heating, air conditioning, ductwork, and sprinkler system installations for both residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource management, and oversee the entire lifecycle of HVAC projects.
• Lead and coordinate a team of HVAC technicians and subcontractors, offering guidance, support, and training to promote safety and performance.
• Foster strong client relationships by addressing their needs and concerns promptly, ensuring satisfaction through effective communication and service.
• Monitor project progress through regular site inspections, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies, and implement corrective measures when necessary.
• Manage project budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Prepare financial reports and present updates to management.
• Ensure all projects adhere to applicable local, state, and federal regulations, staying informed of industry trends and best practices.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress and resolve any issues promptly.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to guarantee timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Review and approve project designs, plans, and specifications.
• Organize and lead team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and next steps.
• Prepare and submit necessary documentation, including permits and compliance reports.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for HVAC systems as needed.
• Uphold strict safety standards and protocols across all job sites.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing HVAC projects in residential and commercial settings.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and ductwork.
• Proven success in managing projects from inception to completion.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Excel, Word, Bluebeam, Procore, Timberline, and CAD.
• Valid HVAC certification and relevant licensing.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Experience in budgeting, scheduling, RFIs, submittals, take-offs, buyouts, and electrical work.
• PMP Certification.
• OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Background as a Project Manager in Mechanical, HVAC, or Plumbing projects.
• Experience with new construction or retrofit projects.
• Familiarity with HVAC sheet metal fabrication and estimation processes.
