As a valued member of the patient care team, you will assist providers and nursing staff with daily office duties, contributing significantly to the delivery of exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Perform specific duties that support patient care.
- Take vital signs.
- Conduct client intake.
- Room patients.
- Document patient information.
- Work in an outpatient setting.
- Certification with AAMA or ARMA is required.
- 2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Medical assisting skills.
- Patient care expertise.
- Experience with Epic and electronic health records.
- Medical terminology knowledge.
- Flexibility and strong communication skills.
- Medical Assistant Certification needed.
- Specialty experience is a plus.
- An MA diploma is required within 90 days of employment.
- Experience in healthcare is preferred but not required.
The position requires availability from 7:00 am to 5:45 pm, with a standard workweek of 37.5 hours. Normal working hours are from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, but flexibility is required. The role is based in a multispecialty environment located at 800 Howard Avenue, with potential travel to New Haven, CT, Branford site, and Long Wharf site. You may work in diabetes and orthopedic departments. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $26.00/hr.
