What You’ll Do
- Draft high‑quality topographical surveys, boundary maps, easements, and construction layouts using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Download, upload, and process survey field data into AutoCAD
- Perform field surveying on a wide variety of job sites across Connecticut (with occasional work in New York)
- Research land records, deeds, and property information to ensure accuracy
- Work closely with a survey manager, engineers, and project teams to support project goals and client needs
What You Bring
- 2+ years of experience in land surveying or CADD drafting
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Experience drafting topo surveys, property boundaries, and construction layouts
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to work outdoors in varied terrain
- A team‑oriented mindset and solid communication skills
Bonus Skills (Not Required, But a Plus!)
- Survey drafting experience
- Familiarity with GPS equipment, robotic total stations, and data collectors
- Understanding of survey terminology and mapping standards
Work Environment & Schedule
- 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Friday
- Occasional overtime or weekend work depending on project needs
- Fieldwork on diverse job sites: construction sites, roadways, wooded/undeveloped areas
- Moderate physical activity required
- Strong one‑on‑one training and ongoing support from an experienced survey manager
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shelton, CT.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
