Job Description

As a Planning Coordinator, you will manage engineering projects to secure logistical requirements and support supplier selection decisions. This role involves identifying and informing stakeholders about material availability updates and potential impacts, independently taking required actions, and driving escalations. You will also define re-use strategies for modules and sub-components, implementing them in project material availability planning.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering projects to ensure logistical requirements are met and support supplier selection.
• Identify stakeholders and provide updates on material availability.
• Take independent actions and drive L1 escalations, contributing to L2/L3 escalations.
• Define and implement re-use strategies for modules and sub-components.
• Perform operational tasks to support engineering projects and factories from a logistical perspective.
• Proactively involve stakeholders and ensure accountability within the project and Supplier Account Team (SAT).
• Share key information on project material availability, critical paths, and costs.
• Analyze solutions to minimize impact on boundary conditions and involve SAT as necessary.
• Advise S&P PL and other stakeholders on PLM activities, risks, opportunities, and solutions.
• Support configuration changes in engineering projects while maintaining PLM requirements.
• Plan changes sequentially and prioritize timing and costs in the project.
• Lead alignment efforts for changes impacting multiple projects.
• Translate project updates to individual targets for project coordinators and execute necessary actions.
• Perform impact analysis and present results to stakeholders.
• Resolve and prevent potential material availability issues.
• Contribute to defining supply chain management requirements and defend them to stakeholders.
• Lead cross-sector improvement projects from specification to full deployment.

Essential Skills

• Experience in engineering, materials planning, and project management.
• Strong understanding of inventory tracking, work orders, and BOMs.
• Proficiency with MRP systems and project coordination.
• Experience in logistics and production planning within manufacturing/engineering.
• Proficiency in materials planning, engineering management, and schedule planning.
• Experience with SAP, SAP ERP, and supply chain management.
• Skills in ERP and strategic planning.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• BS or MS Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration required.
• Minimum of 2 years post-college related work experience.
• Experience in the semiconductor or technology industry.
• Preferred experience in project management and supply chain.
• Experience in planning and logistics processes in a high-tech, low-volume environment is a plus.

Work Environment

This role offers a hybrid work environment with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home, which can be chosen by the candidate (not both Monday and Friday). The position is located in CT and follows a business casual dress code. The typical work schedule is 8 am-5 pm, with slight flexibility available.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilton, CT.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $47.00/hr.

This is a hybrid position in Wilton,CT.
