Certified Nursing Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at a short-term care facility in Windham, CT. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients. • Attend meetings, orientations, and trainings as directed by the charge nurse and management.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of rooms, ensuring all areas and items are labeled as per policy.
• Serve meals promptly and report any changes in dietary intake to the Charge Nurse.
• Respond to call bells promptly.
• Ensure patient safety at all times by practicing preventive measures, using protective devices as ordered, and following emergency, fire, and disaster procedures.
• Report any items that need to be ordered, repaired, or are missing to the Charge Nurse.
• Document care provided on the appropriate forms during and at the end of each shift.

• Medical terminology
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License (active in the state)
• At least 6 months of experience working in a similar setting
• High customer service and communication skills
• Ability to follow directions and report back to the charge nurse
• High attention to detail and patience

• High School Diploma or its equivalent
• Proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)

The position is based in a short-term care facility in Windham, CT, catering to 20-30 patients a day in a collaborative team environment. The role operates on the second shift from 3pm-11pm, with every other weekend being mandatory. A $2/hour shift differential is provided, with an additional $1/hour for weekend shifts. The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $55120.00/yr.
