Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in HVAC design and plumbing design for both new construction and renovation projects. This role requires proficiency in using Revit and AutoCAD to deliver high-quality designs and project management from inception to completion.
Responsibilities
- Design HVAC systems and perform load calculations for facility/building projects.
- Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring quality control and quality assurance.
- Engage in client-facing activities to understand project requirements and deliver solutions.
- Draft and design using AutoCAD, collaborating with architects and other stakeholders.
- Conduct site surveys and redlines, primarily for projects located in DC, with occasional projects in MD and VA.
- 3 years of experience with Revit.
- Proficiency in HVAC design and mechanical engineering.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD for designing and drafting.
- Experience in project management and client interaction.
- Background in plumbing design.
- Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling).
- Experience with multi-family housing, office spaces, or small healthcare projects is advantageous.
The role is primarily office-based, with 95% of time spent in the CEG DC office working on design projects and 5% conducting site surveys. The position offers a flexible schedule with the potential for remote work as needed. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, DC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/hr.
