Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and manage interior design projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, goals, and project requirements, providing expert guidance and innovative solutions.
- Oversee all phases of project development, including conceptual design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
- Collaborate with the Principal in Charge (PIC) to identify and secure opportunities for the Practice area, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
- Coordinate and manage project teams, including architects, designers, consultants, and contractors, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, zoning laws, and regulations.
- Prepare and present project proposals, budgets, and schedules to clients and stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and securing repeat business.
- Travel to project sites across the United States as required.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Revit.
- Interior design and interior architecture expertise.
- Schematic design and design development skills.
- 7+ years of experience in workplace project management.
- Experience managing complex projects with engineering consultants.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
- NCDIQ certification preferred.
- Knowledge of ADA codes.
Work Environment
The work environment includes four days in the office within an international firm with eleven offices across North America and several others internationally. The DC office, which employs around 110 individuals, focuses on various market sectors such as K-12, assisted living, large-scale corporate commercial, multi-family, and institutional projects.
