Electrical Engineer

Actalent is hiring an experienced Electrical Engineer to join an engineering firm directly in Tysons, VA to aid in the design of large commercial buildings and data centers. This opportunity is a hybrid position with great continued growth potential and health and employee benefits, including stock in the company.

The candidate will have the ability to work from home 1-2 days per week as the role is design-heavy but will require 10% travel around the US for site visits.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Create electrical designs (power, lighting, and fire alarm designs) for MEP projects
• Prepare reports
• Cost Estimating
• Specification development
• Perform electrical calculations
• Select equipment for specification
• Prepare construction documents for bidding
• Design in both AutoCAD and Revit
• Perform site visits
• Manage project deadlines
• Interact with clients and architects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 2-6+ years of electrical engineering design experience.
• Ability to create MEP Electrical designs for building projects (lighting, power, short circuits, generator, single-line design, NEC codes, etc.).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software.
• EIT Certification or PE License is preferred.
