Aerotek is hiring a Laborer in New Castle County, DE. Candidates should have experience with plumbing systems or possess a very strong mechanical aptitude. This is a day-shift position with weekly pay.
We are seeking a dedicated Laborer with knowledge in plumbing to join an industrial manufacturing team specializing in refurbishing and upgrading large-scale equipment and interior systems. The role primarily involves plumbing-related tasks, but candidates should also be comfortable with general labor tasks throughout the production process.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including water lines, drainage lines, and fixtures.
- Perform plumbing tasks such as cutting and measuring pipe, soldering copper pipe, assembling and fitting copper plumbing components, and threading and installing iron pipe.
- Read and interpret plumbing drawings, blueprints, and technical instructions.
- Conduct pressure tests and perform leak checks to ensure system reliability.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and fabrication teams.
- Support general labor tasks including basic mechanical assembly, using hand tools and power tools, material handling, and staging.
- Follow all required safety procedures and maintain a clean, compliant work environment.
Essential Skills
- Experience in plumbing or as a plumbing helper in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
- Hands-on experience with cutting and soldering copper pipe.
- Ability to thread and assemble iron pipe.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Willingness to perform both plumbing tasks and broader labor/assembly work.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and follow technical diagrams and written instructions.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newark, DE.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
