Job Title: Med Surg Nurse Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Med Surg Nurse Manager to lead and manage nursing services with organizational accountability for services provided around the clock. The successful candidate will provide leadership and supervision of personnel, fostering a climate conducive to learning and development. This role assumes responsibility for staffing and scheduling with appropriate utilization of personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff.
• Foster a learning and development-oriented climate.
• Manage and ensure appropriate staffing and scheduling of personnel.
• Maintain accountability for nursing services provided 24/7.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in chart review and patient care.
• Current FL RN or Compact Licensure.
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of start date.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of start date.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a charge nurse, CNC, or Nurse Manager in an acute care setting.

Work Environment

This role is based in a 32-36 bed unit where managers report to the Director of Nursing. The unit has Clinical Nurse Coordinators (CNCs) to assist with leadership duties. The workplace is part of a dynamic and fast-paced clinical team located near the beautiful coastal cities of Lake Worth and Boynton Beach, offering a great living environment with beaches, restaurants, and shopping nearby.
