Job Title: Project Controls - Scheduler
Job Description
We are currently seeking a Scheduler to join our growing PM/CM team. The Scheduler will collaborate closely with owners, project managers, engineers, construction managers, and other stakeholders to deliver accurate and actionable scheduling insights. They will support mostly government projects, including PM/CM contracts, Design/Build projects, and Design/Bid/Build. Project sizes can range from $50,000 to $5 Million and include K-12 Education Projects, Water/Wastewater Projects, and other various government facilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 for complex programs.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project scope, deliverables, and timelines.
- Perform critical path analysis, identify schedule risks, and propose mitigation strategies to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Monitor project progress, track variances, and update the project team and leadership regularly.
- Integrate resource loading and cost data into schedules to support comprehensive project planning and reporting.
- Prepare and present schedule reports, including Gantt charts, histograms, and other visual aids, to communicate project status effectively.
- Support the development of baseline schedules and ensure alignment with project objectives and contractual requirements.
- Conduct schedule audits and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Assist in preparing claims, change orders, and delay analysis as required.
- Provide training and support to team members on Primavera P6 and scheduling best practices.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field (OR) 5+ years of experience with extensive focus on Primavera P6.
- Minimum 3+ years of proven experience in project scheduling.
- Proven experience in developing and managing schedules for large-scale projects.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, including scope, time, cost, and risk management.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and other scheduling tools.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, and other project management software.
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and other project control methodologies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Preferred Certifications: PMP, PMI-SP, or PSP.
