Job Title: Project Coordinator
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Project Coordinator to join our team in Fort Lauderdale. This role involves partnering with and supporting Project Managers to ensure projects are successfully initiated, planned, executed, and completed on time and within budget. You will manage administrative tasks under the supervision of a project manager to facilitate the progress of various projects, including environmental compliance, emergency response, assessment, remediation, and industrial services.
Responsibilities
- Support projects throughout their lifecycle, with responsibilities increasing as experience grows.
- Handle scheduling, stakeholder coordination, resource allocation, change control, cost control, invoicing preparation, and project closure and assessment.
- Complete various administrative tasks and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Ensure all project aspects are completed on time and foresee potential blockers to mitigate or eliminate problems.
- Utilize Microsoft Project for planning, Microsoft Teams (Shifts function) for scheduling resources, and Deltek for timekeeping and accounting.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required based on project needs.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in project administration, coordination, or management.
- Experience assisting Project Managers in the construction, engineering, or environmental fields.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project.
- Ability to manage internal stakeholders in a matrix model organization.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Interest in obtaining certifications such as CAPM or PMP.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, sciences, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience in environmental, engineering, or construction management industries is preferred.
- Familiarity with project accounting software is advantageous.
- Certifications in a technical field are beneficial.
Work Environment
The work environment is primarily office-based with periodic site and client visits. The team currently consists of five full-time members, including two Project Managers and three Project Coordinators. The role requires presence in the Fort Lauderdale office. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
