Security Specialist

Leidos is on the lookout for a mission-driven SCI Security Specialist to join our elite team at Hurlburt Field, FL. This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance and offers a front-row seat to some of the most critical operations in defense intelligence.

Program Oversight

• Administer physical, industrial, personnel, and information security programs.
• Ensure compliance with ACCM, SCI and collateral standards.
• Investigate and report security incidents; oversee technical reviews and damage assessments.
• Make final decisions on classification/declassification issues and guide personnel on classification requirements.
• Review Program Security Directives (PSDs) and Classification Guides (PSCGs).
• Provide oversight on classification authority, document marking, safeguarding, access controls, and information handling.

Policy & Analysis

• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and techniques.
• Analyze complex security scenarios to determine appropriate methods, waivers, or corrective actions.
• Review security incidents and recommend resolutions.
• Evaluate classification challenges and determine appropriate levels.

Facility Security

• Direct periodic inspections of cleared facilities for compliance.
• Review and resolve security violations.
• Apply research and technology principles to mitigate threats.

Personnel Security

• Interpret and establish policy for processing Program Access Requests (PARs).
• Train personnel on clearance sensitivity and access requirements.
• Oversee access records and correspondence.

Physical Security

• Ensure proper documentation and accreditation of ACCM facilities.
• Review SOPs, co-utilization agreements, and secure construction plans.
• Recommend physical control measures (safes, locks, fences, etc.).
• Define restricted areas and manage ACCM material movement.
• Serve as alternate facility manager; coordinate work orders and escort contractors.

Security Education

• Plan and conduct security education programs.
• Develop training materials and deliver briefings per DoD and AF guidelines.
• Issue security bulletins and conduct initial/refresher training.
• Provide foreign travel briefings for personnel with classified access.

Qualifications:

• Clearance: Active TS/SCI on day 1.
• Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and 5+ years of related experience
• Expertise:
• Strong knowledge of ACCM, SCI and collateral security standards
• Working knowledge of National Background Investigation Services (NBIS) and Defense Information System for Security (DISS)
• Advanced understanding of personnel, industrial, information, and operational security
• Experience developing and evaluating security programs
• Strong communication skills with senior officials
• Proven ability to build collaborative relationships across teams and agencies

Pay Range:
Pay Range $63,700.00 - $115,150.00
