Medical Assistant - Jacksonville, FL

Responsibilities

• Collect patient demographics accurately and efficiently.
• Triage patients based on symptom criteria to prioritize care.
• Take vitals and ensure accurate documentation of patient information.
• Room patients and prepare them for examinations.
• Maintain thorough documentation of patient interactions and care.

Essential Skills

• Experience in medical assisting and patient care.
• Proficiency in phlebotomy and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
• Ability to perform insurance verification and handle front desk duties.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to schedule appointments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a fast-paced clinic environment.
• Preferred: Medical Assistant diploma or certification, or 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is advantageous.

Work Environment

This role is based onsite at a primary care clinic, where you will see between 20 to 30 patients a day. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm.
