Join our dynamic team as a Set Up Technician, where you will be responsible for installing and setting up injection molds for production. You will ensure the startup of injection molding machines in a fast-paced, custom injection molding facility, prioritizing safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities- Set up and change over molds for production runs.
- Ensure proper machine operation and part quality.
- Troubleshoot molding issues and perform basic maintenance.
- Work closely with production and maintenance teams to optimize efficiency.
- Assist the Shift Supervisor in scheduling operators and training, and perform all supervisory functions in the absence of the Shift Supervisor.
- Troubleshoot and adjust injection molding machine parameters to maintain quality and maximum product output.
- Perform problem-solving of molding quality defects and correct them.
- Ensure cleanliness and maintain a safe work environment within the molding department.
- Respond to problems by performing corrective technical or mechanical solutions.
- Maintain positive employee relations and adhere to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
- Assist in various maintenance functions, including preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on all injection molding equipment.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in injection molding mold setup.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret setup sheets.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience in preventive maintenance and production.
- 1-3 years of injection molding setup and processing experience.
- Supervisory experience is a plus.
- Experience with Engineering resins such as Nylon, Acetal, and Polycarbonate is a plus.
- Familiarity with Van Dorn Demag and HAIDA molding machines and Robotic robots.
- Ability to assist in mold changes.
- Proficiency with advanced tools such as micrometers and CNC machines.

Work EnvironmentWork in a production environment on the 2nd shift from 3pm to 11pm, Monday through Friday. The role involves using advanced technologies such as injection molding machines and CNC equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient workplace.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
