Description
• Manage end-to-end proposal development process from opportunity kick-off through final submission.
• Analyze solicitation documents (RFPs/RFIs) to determine proposal requirements, schedule, and compliance needs.
• Develop and maintain proposal plans, outlines, compliance matrices, and schedules.
• Lead and facilitate color reviews (Pink, Red, Gold Teams) and integrate feedback into final submissions.
• Collaborate with Capture Managers, Program Managers, Technical SMEs, Contracts, Cost Estimators, and other stakeholders to develop strategy, content, and pricing inputs.
• Ensure all proposals are fully compliant with government requirements and company standards.
• Manage proposal templates, boilerplate content, and past performance databases.
• Coordinate with Graphic Designers, Editors, and Desktop Publishers to deliver polished and professional proposals.
• Stay current on federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFARS), proposal best practices, and industry trends.
Skills & Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience managing federal proposals, particularly within the Aerospace & Defense industry.
• Proven success managing large, complex, multi-volume proposals for DoD and other U.S. Government customers.
• Strong understanding of federal acquisition processes (FAR/DFARS).
• Excellent organizational, writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead teams under tight deadlines with a collaborative, detail-oriented approach.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and proposal management tools (e.g., SharePoint, Adobe InDesign, or proposal automation tools).
Preferred Qualifications:
• APMP Certification (Foundation or higher).
• Experience with classified proposals and secure facilities.
• Familiarity with Shipley or similar proposal development methodologies.
• Knowledge of pricing and cost volume development.
