Job Description
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our Customer Outreach team in the Miami/Dade area. The role involves supporting the Storm Secure Underground Program by connecting with service customers, explaining the program, and obtaining necessary documents and signatures for utility easements to facilitate project closure.
Responsibilities
- Use your own vehicle to contact each property owner to discuss the project and proposed equipment placement.
- Explain the details of the Storm Secure Underground Program to service customers.
- Secure customers’ agreement to proceed with the project and acquire necessary signatures for easements and acknowledgment forms.
- Maintain ongoing communication with property owners and occupants throughout all project stages according to company policies and procedures.
- Organize and submit documents electronically to the support team.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills with purposeful follow-up and documentation.
- Professionally communicate with customers, staff, and vendors in person, over the phone, and via email.
- Read and understand construction and engineering plans.
- Coordinate special projects as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Sales experience, especially in door-to-door and field sales.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience in outbound calls and customer support.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Entry-level position.
- Must reside in the Miami/Dade area.
- Proficiency in English is required; Spanish and/or Creole is a plus.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass drug test, bg and motor vehicle record check.
- Ability to engage in small talk and converse with strangers both over the phone and in person.
- Capability to drive both locally and long distances regularly.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Prior utility experience is a plus.
Work Environment
This role primarily involves fieldwork in the Miami area using your own vehicle, with mileage reimbursement provided. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 11 AM to 7 PM, with some Saturdays as needed, and no overtime. You may need to accommodate other times for certain customers. Dress code requires jeans and steel-toe boots, with PPE (shirt, vest, etc.) provided. Company equipment and phone will be issued, though personal phone use may be necessary in the interim.
