Join a dynamic and growing team in Miami as a Junior Electrical Estimator. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a junior estimator eager to enhance their skills in a fast-paced commercial electrical contracting environment. You will prepare accurate cost estimates, analyze project specifications, and support the preconstruction team in delivering competitive and profitable bids.
Responsibilities- Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications.
- Assist in developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial electrical projects.
- Review bid documents, drawings, and addenda.
- Solicit and analyze vendor and subcontractor pricing.
- Perform material and labor cost analysis.
- Support senior estimators with bid preparation and submission.
- Maintain organized project documentation and bid files.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings when required.
- Assist with post-bid follow-up and turnover to project management.
- 2+ years of experience in electrical estimating (commercial preferred).
- Knowledge of NEC and electrical construction methods.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical and math skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with accubid and livecount cloud is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with estimating software and bidding processes.
- Experience in commercial construction.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.25 - $36.06/hr.
