We have an immediate opening for a high-energy Diesel Mechanic to join the team at our Miami facility. Previous waste experience is a huge plus! This position is night shift from 2 PM - 12 AM, Monday to Friday, with every other Saturday.
Pay: $26.00 to 30.00/hr DOE

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform repairs and assigned preventative maintenance services.
- Conduct inspections, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulics, suspension, brake, and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
- Utilize vehicle computer electronic systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
- Complete required paperwork using fleet maintenance software programs to document repairs, parts usage, and repair times.
- Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
- Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
- Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
- Extensive physical activity, including strenuous physical work such as heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 50 pounds.
- Sometimes necessary to work in awkward or tight positions and handle greasy or dirty tools. Basic safety precautions must always be followed.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Must provide your own personal tools.
- Computer experience is required for using fleet maintenance software.
- Experience with DPF Regeneration systems on CUMMINS and MACK trucks is a plus.
- PPE, toolboxes, rain gear, etc. provided to new employees.
- Quarterly allowances for tools ($300).
- Continuous training: Vendors come in to provide classes, ensuring you stay up to date with industry standards.
