Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 6–8 software engineers working on real-time systems.
• Contribute directly to development efforts using C++, C#, Python, and Java.
• Oversee multiple programs simultaneously, ensuring effective collaboration across engineering disciplines.
• Drive rapid prototyping and fast-paced development cycles.
• Utilize Microsoft Azure DevOps for continuous integration and project tracking.
• Delegate tasks effectively while staying hands-on with technical challenges.
• Support growth initiatives, particularly in the expanding munitions sector.
• Ensure all work adds value, avoiding unnecessary bureaucracy.

Essential Skills

• U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a security clearance.
• 15–18 years of experience in software engineering with leadership roles.
• Strong in real-time systems, Linux, RTOS, and VxWorks.
• Experience in defense-related software for weapons, munitions, and navigation.
• Ability to work full-time onsite (core hours: M–F, 8am–3pm).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with web-based applications, MVC, and ASP.NET.
• Proficiency in multi-language development, primarily C++, C#, Python, and Java.
• Technical leadership experience in managing and mentoring software teams.
• Experience in a fast-paced, lean environment.
• Candidates from smaller, agile companies with experience in rapid prototyping are preferred.
