Join a leading organization in advanced defense technologies specializing in guidance, navigation, and control systems for aircraft and munitions. This full-time, onsite role in Niceville, FL, offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge systems engineering for real-world defense applications.
Responsibilities- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers working on real-time systems.
- Contribute directly to development efforts in C++, C#, Python, and Java.
- Oversee multiple programs simultaneously, ensuring no siloed projects.
- Drive rapid prototyping and fast-paced development cycles.
- Collaborate across engineering disciplines to ensure product integration.
- Utilize Microsoft Azure DevOps for CI/CD and project tracking.
- Delegate effectively while staying hands-on with technical challenges.
- Support growth initiatives, especially in the expanding munitions sector.
- Ensure all work adds value, with no filler or unnecessary bureaucracy.
- U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a security clearance.
- 15–18 years of experience in software engineering, including leadership roles.
- Strong background in real-time systems, Linux, RTOS, and VxWorks.
- Experience in defense-related software for weapons, munitions, and navigation.
- Proficiency in C++, C#, Python, and Java.
- Technical leadership skills in managing and mentoring software teams.
- Experience with DOD and Secret Clearance.
- Familiarity with web-based applications, MVC, and ASP.NET.
- background in thin client development.
- Candidates with experience in rapid prototyping from agile companies are highly desirable.
The work environment is located in Niceville, FL, with a very casual dress code including shorts and jeans. The role requires full-time onsite work with core hours from Monday to Friday, 8am to 3pm. The company culture is family-style with minimal bureaucracy, focused on contributing to fast-moving, high-impact work in a stable organization.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75.00 - $85.00/hr.
