Aston Carter is hiring a Vendor Compliance Support Specialist!
Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to support vendor compliance initiatives. This position is ideal for an entry-level candidate interested in procurement who possesses a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a genuine willingness to learn new concepts and processes.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and actively manage vendor compliance requirements, focusing on insurance, lien waiver/release, and onboarding compliance.
- Support the administration of project-specific forms and compliance documents as applicable.
- Identify non-compliant vendors and drive resolution through direct outreach via email and phone.
- Provide compliance status updates to internal stakeholders as requested.
- Ensure documents are properly organized, filed, and submitted into designated document management systems.
- Once trained, review purchase requests for completeness and accuracy.
- Process purchase requests and issue purchase orders in SAP Business One.
- Distribute purchase orders to vendors and confirm receipt.
- Support RFQ issuance, vendor follow-up, and quote tabulation.
- Monitor PO spend reports for all projects and issue PO revisions before purchase orders become underfunded.
- Conduct vendor research and interviews.
- Other duties as defined by management.
Essential Skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn new concepts, processes, and systems.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to follow through on open items and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with purchase order and vendor management.
- Proficiency in SAP ERP and Microsoft Excel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in procurement, purchasing, contracts, or vendor compliance is advantageous but not required.
- Experience supporting project teams is a plus.
- Construction industry experience is beneficial.
Work Environment
This position is onsite, Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. The role reports to the Purchasing Manager and provides direct support to the Subcontracts Manager and Project Managers. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Odessa, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
