Job Title: Clinical Research Nurse Practitioner/Sub-Investigator
Job Description
Looking for a Clinical Research Nurse Practitioner/Sub-Investigator to provide clinical assessment and care, within the scope of licensure and in accordance with trial protocols, FDA Regulations, and ICH/GCP Guidelines, for research volunteers participating in Phase I-IV industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated/behavior focused clinical trials.
Responsibilities
- Utilize knowledge and skill to care for adult and pediatric patients in a clinical setting.
- Document essential history information and physical exam components that support the study protocol.
- Counsel, refer, and order as documented on the record.
- Interpret diagnostic testing and refer abnormal results to physicians when necessary.
- Refer to supervising physician or other healthcare providers as needed.
- Maintain an active presence in local and national professional associations.
- Meet productivity standards set by the department.
- Participate in training programs to stay current on applicable knowledge and skills.
- Complete Employee Assessment Form and plan for career development.
- Assist in protocol development and review of research drafts for publication submission.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth department operations.
Required Skills & Experience
- Clinical research experience
- Nurse Practitioner certification/licensure or previous Sub-Investigator experience
- Physical assessment skills
