Job Title: Highway Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Civil Engineer II to join our team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience with FDOT projects and possess either a Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop civil engineering projects, ensuring innovative and efficient solutions.
- Prepare detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications to guide project execution.
- Coordinate effectively with other engineers and project managers to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with FDOT standards and regulations, maintaining high-quality standards.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to evaluate project progress and adherence to plans.
Essential Skills
- Extensive knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
- Expertise in FDOT standards and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other civil engineering software.
- Strong skills in grading, drainage, structural analysis, and foundation design.
- Experience in transmission line and substation design.
- Proficiency with PLS-CADD software.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of civil engineering experience.
- Experience with FDOT projects.
- PE license or EIT certification.
Work Environment
The position requires working in the office five days a week, fostering collaboration and teamwork. The work environment is equipped with advanced technologies and civil engineering software to support project development and execution.High
