Manufacturing Accountant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Ormond Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will have accounting experience in a manufacturing environment and be able to interpret accounting reports and explain them to the finance team to aid in projections. This role plays a key role in driving financial excellence by analyzing business performance, ensuring cost control, and maintaining accurate financial records. This is an on-site role, reporting to the Business Controller, and will collaborate closely with various teams to support the company's financial goals.

• Analyze and monitor manufacturing costs to identify variances and trends, collaborating with production teams to optimize resource allocation and reduce waste.
• Reconcile balance sheet and ensure all financial records comply with accounting standards and company policies, including intercompany transactions.
• Evaluate financial performance and provide actionable insights to support decision-making; prepare reports on key performance indicators to track progress against business goals.
• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management; support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and implement improvements.

• Experience in cost accounting and making journal entries.
• Strong skills in cost control, financial analysis, financial reporting, reconciliation, and journal entry.
• Experience in performing analyses of business performance versus plan and proposing improvement actions.
• Ability to benchmark key performance indicators with industry competitors and similar sites.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, focusing on product/business line profitability, product costing, production variances, and inventory analysis.
• Experience in supporting financial reporting, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Initiative, problem-solving skills, and confidence to explain concepts and new ideas.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation, lookups, index matching, and macros.
• Experience with SAP (preferred) and developing in Power BI.

• 2+ years of experience in a financial analyst role.
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
• Proficiency in English language skills.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the USA.
