Description

• Interpret orders and transcribe or verify them accurately and efficiently into the pharmacy computer system.

• Accurately compound and dispense pharmaceuticals.

• Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, drug-drug interactions, drug-food interactions, allergies and appropriateness of drug and dose.

• Sustain the hospital formulary, minimizing nonformulary procurements, utilizing therapeutic interchanges and promotes rational drug therapy selection.

• Provide accurate and timely medication information to healthcare staff and patients.

• Assist with clinical services such as drug consults, nutrition support, pharmacokinetics, anticoagulant monitoring, pain management, IV to PO, renal dosing and other programs as defined by Pharmacy Leadership.

• Document all clinical activities and interventions accurately and completely.

• Complete notification reports regarding medication errors and adverse drug reactions.

• Effectively supervise pharmacy operation activities and provide support to the whole pharmacy team.



primary function is providing general clinical and pharmacy services, including supervision of technical staff. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Open to entry level, newly licensed pharmacist - experience preferred but not required

• B.S. or PharmD from and ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy required

• Minimum of one year of hospital experience is preferred

• Active pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate Florida State Board of Pharmacy


PREFERRED:

at least 1 year of recent hospital experience or the completion of a PGY-1 in a hospital setting.


*MUST HAVE ACUTE HOSPITAL EXPERIENCE WITHIN THE LAST YEAR
