Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Chemist to support the Research & Development (R&D) department through precise chemical testing, data documentation, and sample analysis. This role involves routine laboratory work, including sample preparation, instrumental analysis, and report writing, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare and label chemical samples, maintaining clear and organized documentation.
• Perform analytical testing using a range of laboratory instruments, including ICP-OES, Ion Chromatography, SEM-EDS, and Infrared Spectroscopy.
• Conduct standard wet chemistry techniques for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Perform elemental analysis and material characterization to identify unknown deposits.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot analytical instruments as needed.
• Record data clearly and thoroughly in lab notebooks and digital logs.
• Compile and organize analytical findings into structured, detailed reports for review by senior technical staff.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), lab safety guidelines, and good laboratory practices (GLP).
• Communicate findings and issues effectively with the R&D team and contribute to collaborative problem-solving.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in analytical chemistry techniques.
• Experience with laboratory instruments including ICP-OES, Ion Chromatography, SEM-EDS, and Infrared Spectroscopy.
• Ability to interpret analytical data and adhere to established testing protocols and safety procedures.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plant City, FL.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Plant City,FL.
