Job Description

The Director of Pharmacy Operations oversees and owns the outcomes of all operational aspects of the Pharmacy, ensuring optimal performance of people, processes, and systems. This role is responsible for maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations, upholding ACHC specialty accreditation, and aligning operations with the organization’s mission to improve healthcare access and outcomes in the community. Managing 3 staff pharmacists, 7 pharmacy technicians; reporting to the Chief Pharmacy Officer. In this role, you will also serve as the 'face' of the pharmacy at local events.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all operational aspects of the pharmacy, ensuring optimal performance of people, processes, and systems.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Uphold ACHC specialty accreditation standards.
• Align pharmacy operations with the organization's mission to improve healthcare access and outcomes.
• Manage 3 staff pharmacists and 7 pharmacy technicians.
• Report to the Chief Pharmacy Officer.
• Serve as the 'face' of the pharmacy at local events.

Essential Skills

• PharmD qualification.
• 10 years of pharmacy experience, including specialty pharmacy.
• 10 years of leadership and/or operations experience within a pharmacy setting.
• Strong business and entrepreneurial skills.
• Comfortable managing profit/loss tables and calculating EBITDA.
• Strong commitment to deadlines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Preferred prior experience with pharmacy ACHC accreditation.
• Preferred prior utilization of QS1 software.
• Strong cultural competency.

Work Environment

This position is 100% onsite in a high-volume, fast-paced clinic pharmacy located in Oakland Park, FL. The work hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. The employer funds STD, LTD, and Basic Life, while voluntary Life, Accident, Hospital, and Critical Illness benefits are employee-funded.
