Job Title: Senior Geotechnical EngineerJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will bring extensive expertise in Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Testing, and Special Inspections across a wide range of project types. You will serve as the Senior technical reviewer for reports, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects from initial planning through completion.
  • Perform and oversee special inspections and construction materials testing services.
  • Review, validate, and approve geotechnical and materials testing reports to ensure regulatory and client requirements are met.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and field staff.
  • Collaborate with project managers and clients to define project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
Essential Skills
  • Geotechnical engineering expertise.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, and special inspections.
  • Strong understanding of industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Preferred management experience, but training will be provided if needed.
  • Experience with relevant engineering tools and software.
Work Environment

This position involves 80% office work and 20% field work. The role offers standard business hours with flexible start and end times, allowing for an early start and early departure or vice versa. The work environment supports a diverse portfolio of projects, including commercial, industrial, retail, government, office, transportation, and residential developments.

This is a Permanent position based out of Tampa, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $135000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
