- Review customer orders for completeness and accuracy prior to release, learning how to identify and resolve basic pricing or data discrepancies.
- Learn to schedule dock appointments for customer pickup (CPU) orders and maintain accurate scheduling records.
- Partner with the Transportation team to help track delivered orders and support resolution of delivery-related issues.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Customer Experience, Production Planning, Demand Planning, Warehouse, and Materials to understand supply chain workflows and support special product or promotional requirements.
- Communicate order changes, substitutions, or delivery date updates clearly to internal teams and customers, with guidance from team members.

- Maintain accurate customer data in vendor portals and internal systems, including item setup and pricing updates.
- Gain exposure to SAP and EDI transactions while following documented standard operating procedures.
- Support Accounts Receivable and customer service activities by helping research basic invoice discrepancies, short pays, or claims.
- Assist with returns, damage claims, and customer complaints by documenting issues and escalating as appropriate.
- Participate in team projects focused on continuous improvement, process efficiency, and customer experience.
- Use Microsoft Excel and other Office tools for basic data entry, reporting, and analysis.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Required Qualifications

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with guidance and support.
- Willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams and ask questions to learn.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Internship or project experience in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, customer service, or business operations.
- Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP through coursework or internships.
- Familiarity with EDI, order management systems, or vendor portals (not required).
- Experience working in team-based or customer-facing environments.
- Interest in continuous improvement, analytics, or supply chain performance metrics.
