Job Description

  • As a Lease Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing and analyzing lease agreements for commercial properties- creating and performing abstracts for new leases and amendments, setting up and maintaining leases in property management software, and interpreting lease language.

Responsibilities

  • Create and perform abstracts for all new leases and amendments; complete abstract packages for review.
  • Set up and maintain leases in property management software.
  • Review and enter leasing information into the system.
  • Maintain Common Area Maintenance and Real Estate Taxes information.
  • Review leases and abstractions.
  • Calculate percentage rent charges where appropriate.
  • Input cash receipts in property management software.
  • Assist Property Managers in evaluating issues related to tenant accounts.
  • Perform invoice reviews to ensure alignment with tenant obligations to remit payment.
  • Produce rent variance report and enter applicable variance explanations.
  • Conduct preliminary review of operating expenses to ensure calculations are correct with supporting documentation.

Essential Skills

  • Strong understanding of lease and lease abstract/amendment processes.
  • Proficiency in lease contracts and commercial property leasing.
  • Experience with invoicing and Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial real estate/property leasing.
  • Experience with invoicing and CAM is preferred.
