Job Description
The Entry-Level Surveyor will assist with land surveying operations by supporting field crews in data collection, equipment setup, and site preparation. This role is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in surveying and gain hands-on experience in the field.
Responsibilities
- Assist field crews with data collection, equipment setup, and site preparation.
- Operate basic survey tools and perform physical tasks.
- Maintain supplies and equipment.
- Follow directions and perform tasks such as lifting, digging, and carrying equipment.
- Ability to work outdoors in various conditions.
- Follow directions and perform physical tasks.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a federal background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) screening.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with survey terminology.
- Basic math skills.
- Experience with construction or civil engineering environments.
- Knowledge of Total station, Topographic surveys, Land surveying, GPS.
This is a field-based, full-time position requiring outdoor work in varying weather and terrain conditions. Travel may be required depending on the project location. The role requires wearing steel toe boots and reports to the Survey Party Chief or Field Coordinator.
