Position will be permanent in Winter Haven, once site is ready.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform corrective and preventive maintenance on a variety of automated systems including conveyors, cranes, hoists, and automated storage/retrieval systems. This role involves diagnosing faults in electromechanical assemblies and troubleshooting AC and DC electrical systems. The technician will also be responsible for the replacement, configuration, and calibration of electrical and mechanical control components.
Responsibilities
- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on conveyors, cranes, hoists, and automated systems.
- Diagnose faults in electromechanical assemblies using electrical test instruments and mechanical measurement tools.
- Troubleshoot AC electrical systems up to 600/480/400 volts and DC control circuits up to 24 volts.
- Identify and repair issues in motors, gear units, pneumatic systems, sensors, encoders, and control devices.
- Interpret and work from electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and mechanical technical drawings.
- Perform basic PLC troubleshooting and monitor automated system performance using HMI and SCADA.
- Conduct mechanical repairs including bearings, belts, couplings, shafts, lift systems, and structural components.
- Document maintenance activities in the CMMS.
Essential Skills
- 1-2 years of manufacturing or distribution maintenance experience.
- Experience with corrective and preventive maintenance on gearboxes, conveyors, and motors.
- Comfortable working in variable temperature zones ranging from 55°F to –15°F.
- 120v-480v electrical experience.
- Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting with familiarity in brands such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and Mitsubishi.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of VFD, HMI, sensors, and photoeyes.
- Experience with automation systems is a plus.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Knowledge in mechatronics and robotics.
